Software Architecture Expert to Lead Mindreef’s Continued Growth of
Products in the SOA Quality Lifecycle Through Close Customer Contact
and Innovation
Hollis, NH — February 20, 2007 — Mindreef®, Inc., the
leader in service-oriented architecture (SOA) quality management, today
announced the promotion of Jim Murphy to Vice President of Product
Management. In his new role, Murphy is responsible for setting the
strategic direction and growth of Mindreef’s product suite, including
its award winning SOAPscope® — ensuring future releases meet
increasing customer needs, while expanding the product line to support
changing Web services testing and SOA Quality Management requirements.
“2007 is stacking up to be a great year for Mindreef in terms of sales,
growth and product evolution,” said Lars Borgwing, CEO of Mindreef.
“Jim brings a wealth of knowledge about our strategic vision and
product architecture, as well as the growing needs of our customers in
relation to changing dynamics in the SOA and Web services market.”
“Companies are now looking to evolve from connectivity and integration
with Web services to strategic business initiatives based on SOA,” adds
Murphy. “In the coming year, customers can expect Mindreef to deliver
new products and feature sets to automate and streamline a variety of
testing, diagnostics and governance tasks to ensure SOA quality as
their Web services initiatives increase in complexity.”
Murphy started with Mindreef more than four years ago as lead software
architect during the early development of the SOAPscope product line.
He brings more than 10 years experience designing, implementing,
testing and debugging distributed software architectures using Java,
.NET, C++ and XML. Prior to Mindreef, he served as a director, software
architect and senior software engineer at several product and
consulting organizations serving large enterprise customers around the
world.
Today’s Web services teams are tasked with managing more complex and
mission critical Web services implementations that are becoming part of
a larger corporate service-oriented architecture. Drawing on its deep
history in testing and diagnostics, Mindreef is working closely with
more than 3,000 enterprises and service organization customers –
including 40 of the Fortune 100 – to expand its award-winning SOAPscope
product line to address new requirements as the SOA market nears
maturity.
“As the topology of a software application changes towards a
service-oriented architecture, there are new lifecycle patterns that
emerge. One of the more exciting patterns is that with WSDL contracts,
quality can be brought in earlier in the lifecycle,” added Frank
Grossman, co-founder and CTO of Mindreef. “I am thrilled to have Jim
driving the future releases of our product lines and to make sure these
products help ease our customers into new SOA lifecycle patterns.”
Mindreef’s growth is driven by high interest for its award-winning SOAPscope and SOAPscope ServerTM
solutions for Web services testing and SOA quality. Teams at Wachovia,
Fidelity National Financial, Charles Schwab, IBM, Valero Energy, and
more than 3,000 customers at over 1,200 organizations worldwide use
Mindreef products to successfully build, test and maintain high-quality
Web services and SOAs. The resulting trust in high-quality services
leads to increased adoption and reuse of Web services throughout the
SOA.
