Seamless WS-I testing and whitepaper on interoperability testing

Hollis, NH — March 18, 2004 — Mindreef, Inc. announced today that the newly released WS-I testing tools seamlessly integrate into its Web services diagnostic system, SOAPscope. Mindreef also released a whitepaper on interoperability testing.

Easiest path to WS-I Testing

Mindreef has simplified the process of WS-I Basic Profile testing by allowing the user to run the WS-I testing tools through SOAPscope with content generated and captured by SOAPscope. SOAPscope provides the easiest way to assess compliance with simple "pick and click" generation of a WS-I Basic Profile Conformance report through the SOAPscope user interface.

"There is no way to guarantee that a Web service is interoperable in the strictest sense" said Mark Ericson, co-founder and CTO, Mindreef, Inc. "The best way to achieve an interoperable Web service is to perform frequent testing throughout its development. As often as you compile new functionality into your service, you should be checking the interoperability of that functionality. SOAPscope’s integration of the WS-I test tools makes this continuous testing possible."

Interoperability Testing Whitepaper

Achieving interoperability is challenging for organizations, requiring not only tools but good practices. Mindreef’s whitepaper describes the challenges and outlines the responsibilities of project managers, developers and testers in achieving interoperability.
