Integration with HP Quality Ecosystem Centralizes Testing Efforts and Increases Productivity

Software Test & Performance Conference – Cambridge, MA – October 3, 2007 – Mindreef®, Inc., The SOA Quality Company™, today announced significant updates to its award-winning SOAPscope® product family aimed at improving test automation and integration, SOA quality and performance. With the new enhancements, the company’s flagship Web services testing and SOA Quality management platform, SOAPscope Server™, now supports:

  • Integration with HP Quality Center, a centralized platform that manages and governs quality processes and automates software testing across a wide range of application environments.  The Mindreef/HP integration allows SOA teams to continue utilizing their familiar HP Quality Center environment to perform Web services testing using Mindreef SOAPscope Server together with Mindreef Load Check™, a powerful load testing add-on module for testing the performance and scalability of services.  From within HP Quality Center, users can retrieve and review Mindreef test results and re-run tests for increased visibility into the performance and quality of Web services throughout the entire development lifecycle.
  • A new Command Line interface, which allows Mindreef users to run load checks and Test Suites (an ordered list of Mindreef Workspaces) such as unit, functional, regression and acceptance tests directly from the command line by running a test script.  Mindreef tests can be automated by third-party-tools including Windows Scheduler, SQL Server Agent, at desired times such as overnight to improve efficiency and utilization of shared resources.

With the new enhancements, developers and testers can kick off tests, archive test results within HP Quality Center, share results with other team members, and drill down into result details from within SOAPscope Server. The summary results show the number of tests that ran and that failed, as well as the overall number of tests in the Test Suite. Load testing can be performed to determine test time, percentage of test failures, as well as the percentage of tests that failed against the total number of tests.  Unlike other tools that only provide static reports, Mindreef test results are sent as hyperlink attachments that can be accessed and re-run from within HP Quality Center with the single click of a button.  Test scripts can be customized for unique file locations, test parameters and results file names – all without needing to recompile any files.
